Magneto contact page url change Contacts to contact-us

 in app/code/core/Mage/Contacts/etc/config.xml

from <frontName>contacts</frontName>

to <frontName>contact-us</frontName>

How can I change Magento contact page URL

  1. In the Catalog menu click on URL Rewrite Management.
  2. Click the Add URL Rewrite button.
  3. Choose to add a Custom type.
  4. Enter “contacts” for ID Path and Target Path.
  5. Enter “contact-us.html” for the Request Path.
  6. Click the Save button.
This is done !
To update the toplinks url of contact us go to the layout folder of your templates and find contacts.xml ( if not exist copy it from base > layout> ) and
replace
<action method=”addLink” translate=”label title” module=”contacts” ifconfig=”contacts/contacts/enabled”><label>Contact Us</label><url>contacts</url><title>Contact Us</title><prepare>true</prepare><urlParams/><position/><li/><a>class=”contact_us”</a></action>

to
<action method=”addLink” translate=”label title” module=”contacts” ifconfig=”contacts/contacts/enabled”><label>Contact Us</label><url>contact-us.html</url><title>Contact Us</title><prepare>true</prepare><urlParams/><position/><li/><a>class=”contact_us”</a></action>

Note : contact-us.html is the new URL for contact us page.
